Heed this warning.>> One of the programs which can interfere with proper installation is your virus protection program. Especially Norton. Turn off the virus protection before continuing. Don't forget to turn it back on again after the installation and set up are complete.

To run the installation program you need to locate the DB2000R3.EXE file that you saved during download. There are a couple of ways to find the file.

Either use Windows Explorer or the Find program.

First using Windows Explorer:.

• Open Windows Explorer
< li>Locate the DB2000V3 Folder in the left column
• Click on the folder name
• double-click on the DB2000R3 file name in the right panel

• Click on start
• Find
• Files or Folders...

• Fill in the Named: as DB2000R23.EXE. (You can use capital or lower-case letters. Windows is not case sensitive, but the Internet is).
• Be sure there is a check in the checkbox for include subfolders
• My Computer or [C:] must show in the Look in: dropdown box.
• Click Find Now

• The DB2000R3 file will appear and verify that it is in the C:DB2000V3 folder
• Double click on the file name

Which ever method is used, you should see the following dialog box.

• Click on OK

Click OK to continue or Exit Setup to turn off your virus program. The install should be the only program showing on your taskbar. If you have DSL/Cable or a dedicated Internet connection and are running any mail notification programs, turn these off also.

By default, most programs like to load in the Program Files area of Windows. Accept the default and click on the computer button in the upper left corner.

If you chose to exit the install program, you will see the next two screens.

To continue, click the button in the upper left corner

If you chose to continue, you will see the progress dialog box.

If you exited from the install program and restarted later, you may see several of the following screens. Each screen display the name of a file which is being overwritten. Just Click OK to except the change.

Once all the files load correctly, you will view the completion message

Adding a shortcut is a matter of personal choice. It is not required. All windows can be loaded by clicking on the Start Menu

You can start the program by double clicking a desktop shortcut or clicking on the Start Menu
