USPS Member Benefits

The United States Power Squadrons ^® is a non-profit organization devoted to boating education and promoting safe boating, It is comprised of 33 districts and over 400 squadrons. USPS is the nations largest boating education organization offering several boating courses to non-members and dozens of advanced, elective and supplemental courses to our members.

District 20 covers Central and Northern Illinois, the Northwestern corner of Indiana, and the Southeastern corner of Wisconsin. There are 17 squadrons in District 20. 

In USPS, the district serves as the link between the national organization and the local squadron. It serves as a resource to the squadron leadership by providing information to the squadrons. It also provides feedback to the national organization about items of concern to the squadrons. Each squadron officer has a district counterpart who can provide information and answer questions.
